Challenge: Early Bird. Today's photo perfectly fits the challenge. I AM the early bird. I have to be at work at 6 a.m. and it's about a 40 minute drive. This was my safety shot, but honestly, I knew when I shot it I wasn't going to find time to do something else. Yes, it's a crappy, grainy iPhone photo. A commentary on my day. I am at work, always, before the sun comes up.

This is the necklace I wore on my wedding day. It is about as flashy as I get. Not diamonds, crystals. I like how the late afternoon sunlight refracting on the crystals gave me a couple rainbows.

Challenge: In the Air. This is one of those shots that the story behind it is better than the photo itself. There was absolutely no wind today. Quinn was busy with his homework. I had this great idea and no way to execute it. Or so I thought. Picture a grown woman, running backwards around her yard trying to get a kite in the air, shooting the entire time. Challenge: ROYGBIV. I wanted to do something with tie dye, and I shot a couple in focus on one of the boy's t-shirts, but I really didn't like it. Using the macro lens I borrowed from work, I could see the finest detail of every thread and that just wasn't what I wanted to see. Quinn and I both preferred this one, an intentionally out-of-focus shot of the same shirt. I don't know what it is about this image for me... I just like it.
